International Congress on Digital Violence (ICDV 2026)
The International Congress on Digital Violence (ICDV 2026) will be held in a hybrid format at the Faculty of Law, University of Valencia, on 13–14 October 2026. The congress seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on the legal, technological, social, and psychological dimensions of digital violence. Through the exchange of innovative research and critical perspectives, the Congress aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on the legal, technological, social, psychological, educational, and ethical dimensions of digital violence while contributing to the development of evidence-based responses to one of the most pressing challenges of the digital age.
The congress welcomes contributions from legal, sociological, psychological, pedagogical, philological, computational, or multidisciplinary perspectives. Abstracts of up to 500 words must be submitted in a PDF format by 20 September 2026, including a title page with author details, institutional affiliation, selected track, and keywords.
The activity has been organised by Manon Eleonora Laganà under the supervision of the Scientific Committee as a follow-up initiative to the FORTHEM Student-Driven Project, Preventing and Fighting University Digital Violence through Awareness, Student-Led Strategies and Academic Outreach Initiatives. This congress is supported by the Fora de Classe funding programme of the University of Valencia, Office of the Vice-Rector for Students, Educational Transformation and Lifelong Learning, Information and Student Engagement Office.
In-person participation is strongly encouraged, as it fosters meaningful networking opportunities and strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration among participants. Academic staff affiliated with FORTHEM member universities may be eligible to receive mobility funding through the FORTHEM Training Grant, or researchers based in Europe can also apply to the Erasmus+ Staff Training program, subject to the respective institutional eligibility criteria and funding availability.
